The Opportunity

In this role as Compliance Manager, you’ll lead the management and development of our Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance with regulatory, customer, and business requirements. You’ll oversee internal and external audits, act as the key contact for regulatory bodies and customers, and drive continuous improvement across site standards.

Key Responsibilities :
 
  • Lead site compliance activities, including audits, risk assessments, and action planning.
  • Act as the main contact for auditors, regulators, and customers.
  • Manage internal audit schedules, non-conformances, and continuous improvement actions.
  • Oversee specification, systems, and compliance teams, ensuring accuracy and on-time delivery.
  • Provide training, coaching, and leadership to strengthen compliance across site.
 
The Ideal Candidate

  • A degree in Food Science (or equivalent industry experience).
  • Strong knowledge of food safety legislation, BRCGS, and retailer codes of practice.
  • Proven experience in a technical, quality, or compliance management role within food manufacturing.
  • HACCP Level 4 and Food Safety training (desirable).
  • Experience in chilled, ready-to-eat, multi-component food manufacturing.
