I’m Will and I’m the Senior Development Chef for Ginsters. I design and develop the recipes for the new products we launch throughout the year. I have been a chef all my life and love coming up with new flavours for people to try, the best thing about my job is getting a product from concept to launch. Seeing a product on the shelf that I have developed is a great feeling! Will
I joined Ginsters after working for smaller companies wanting to experience being part of a bigger team and brand. No two days are the same… I can be writing communication briefs, attending retailer presentations, or joining research debriefs to really get to know our consumers. As a foodie, being able to try the products as they get developed is one of the highlights of my role! There’s a great passion for quality behind the brand which flows through everything we do and means we’re proud of the products that hit the shelves. Being able to work flexibly from home and in the office is great - with a view of the sea, office days are a must! Carys
I’m the Office Manager at Ginsters and have been with the business for almost 4 years. My day-to-day job includes looking after our beautiful seaside office in Plymouth, booking accommodation, meeting rooms and travel for the team, as well as raising POs, reviewing invoices, and looking after the company cars and hire cars for Savoury Pastry. Recently I have put together a new onboarding process for those joining Ginsters to ensure every person has the same warm welcome to the team. In addition, I work closely with our MD to manage meetings and prepare board decks for leadership meetings and board meetings. Paula
I’m the Social Media Manager at Ginsters and look after the ongoing community management for the brand, alongside creating content, reporting, and managing our two agencies. I joined Ginsters after working for several small food and drink brands, but wanted to experience what it was like working for a big household name with huge awareness. I love that every day is different – one moment I could be at a photoshoot down at Hay Farm (where we source our onions and potatoes) and the next I’m working on reports to share successes and learnings with the team. What’s more, I do get a lot of autonomy to develop the brand personality on social and explore ideas which enable me to flex my creative muscles! Alex
I work with our marketing team and bakeries to ensure the legal, technical and quality compliance of our products, packaging and communication. I joined the business in 2013 as a mature student looking to develop my skills and experience in the food industry. The opportunities to develop my career within the Samworth Brothers group have been endless, there is always something new to focus on. I love working with so many passionate and highly skilled individuals, we thrive on achieving great things together. Alice
I’m a Senior Category Development Manager for Savoury Pastry. The role is focused on turning consumer & shopper trends into long term profitable growth and activation plans for Ginsters and its customers. I joined Ginsters back in 2016, it was a great opportunity to work for one of the UKs leading brands (and a chance to eat more tasty pasties!!!). I really enjoy the variety and challenge the role brings as well as the chance to collaborate with other like-minded people across all areas of the business to ensure more shoppers get to buy and enjoy our delicious products wherever they are! James
I’m currently at Ginsters on a placement through the Samworth Brothers Graduate scheme. I joined Samworth for a variety of reasons, top of the list being the commitment to making quality food and the strong culture. I have found that this absolutely applies to Ginsters as it does for the rest of the group. My current role involves me working on the discounter accounts, plus other exciting projects within sales. It’s a very good environment to work in, everyone is friendly and always willing to lend a hand when you need support. Additionally, there are many opportunities to participate in charity work through the partnership with Project 35 and lots of pasties to try! Ben
Having always had a soft spot for the iconic Cornish brand, I joined the Ginsters team in 2020 as a National Account Manager. In my 3 years at Ginsters I have received extensive training and been exposed to stretching development opportunities which have supported me in my progression to a Senior Commercial Manager. We are a fun-loving team, that are passionate and proud of our brand. Ginsters is a fast-paced and exciting place to work, where no two days are ever the same. It feels really special going to work in an office on the beautiful South West seafront, however it’s great that I am also able to manage my work/life balance by flexibly working from home too. Briony
