The Opportunity
Are you a technical expert with a passion for food safety, compliance, and raw material integrity? Walker & Son, a leader in high-quality food manufacturing, is looking for a Compliance & Raw Materials Manager to lead our site’s technical compliance and raw materials agenda.
- Own and lead the site’s Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure safe, legal, and high-quality products.
- Champion audit readiness, leading internal, third-party, and customer audits.
- Manage raw material approval and validation, ensuring supplier compliance and material integrity.
- Lead the HACCP, TACCP, and VACCP programmes and maintain robust food defence plans.
- Develop and mentor a high-performing technical team, driving continuous improvement and technical excellence.
The Ideal Candidate

- Degree or HND in a food-related subject (or equivalent experience).
- Level 4 HACCP and Food Safety qualifications.
- 2–3 years’ experience in a technical compliance and raw materials role within food manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of UK retailer Codes of Practice and food safety legislation.
- Proven leadership in managing audits, risk assessments, and supplier performance.
- Digitally proficient, with strong skills in Microsoft Office and Power BI.
