The Opportunity
Are you an experienced Transport Planner looking to join a fast‑paced, service‑driven operation? We’re looking for a proactive, detail‑focused individual to join our Planning team and help ensure the safe, efficient and cost‑effective delivery of all transport activities. As a key part of our operation, you’ll support the delivery of accurate daily schedules, optimise fleet utilisation and keep us on track to meet our performance targets.
- Generate accurate and timely delivery, shunt and trunking schedules to meet operational KPIs.
- Monitor and balance fleet utilisation, including arranging sub‑contracted support when required.
- Identify and resolve planning issues promptly, taking corrective action and supporting continuous improvement.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners to maintain high operational standards.
- Review volume forecasts and proactively prepare for peaks to maintain service performance.

- Experience working in a high‑volume transport or FMCG environment.

- Proven ability to prioritise work under time‑sensitive conditions and remain detail‑focused.
- Competence in IT systems including Word, Excel, Outlook and Transport Management Systems.
- Good understanding of Drivers’ Hours laws, Working Time Directive and operational KPI expectations.
