The Opportunity
We’re looking for a proactive and quality‑driven QA Supervisor to join our Technical Team at The Cornwall Bakery. In this role, you’ll support our operational teams to ensure that all manufacturing activities meet the highest standards of food safety, legality, and product quality. Acting as a key representative of the Technical function, you'll help lead, guide and coordinate the QA team to maintain consistency, compliance and continuous improvement across the bakery.
- Lead and coordinate the QA team to ensure all routine quality, safety, and compliance tasks are completed to schedule, escalating issues where required.
- Evaluate and make informed decisions on product quality, raw material status, and food safety deviations, ensuring all exceptions are effectively managed.
- Oversee internal incidents (e.g., allergen events, glass breakages), ensuring full documentation, root cause analysis and resolution to Technical and customer standards.
- Support and deputise for the Quality Manager during audits, customer visits, meetings, and when representing the department on quality-related matters.
- Drive continuous improvement through monitoring, trending, and reporting of quality performance data, implementing actions that enhance compliance and product consistency.

- Level 4 Food Safety and Level 4 HACCP qualifications, with strong knowledge of food safety systems and standards.
- Excellent attention to detail, quality awareness, and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Strong administrative and IT skills, with the ability to work confidently across in‑house systems.
- Experience working in a technical or quality assurance role within food manufacturing.
- Strong communication skills, with the confidence to engage professionally with internal teams and customers.
