The Opportunity
Are you an experienced leader with a passion for maintaining high standards? We are looking for a Facilities Supervisor to join our team and play a critical role in ensuring site hygiene, compliance, and operational resilience within our chilled distribution centre.
As Facilities Supervisor, you will lead and develop a team of hygiene operatives, ensuring our site meets the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety. You’ll manage cleaning schedules, oversee compliance with BRCGS standards, and work closely with operations, technical, and health & safety teams to maintain audit readiness at all times. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll set clear expectations, hold others accountable, and step in to support operational delivery when needed.
- Lead and manage hygiene teams to deliver consistent compliance with food safety standards.
- Develop and maintain risk-based cleaning schedules for all areas and equipment.
- Conduct hygiene inspections and internal audits, ensuring timely resolution of non-conformances.
- Maintain accurate records of hygiene activities, chemical usage, and verification checks.
- Collaborate with internal teams to manage hygiene risks and support food safety controls.
- Act as a key contact for hygiene during audits and customer visits.

- Proven supervisory experience in a manufacturing or food environment.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene legislation, including COSHH.
- Understanding of BRCGS Food Safety standards.
- IOSH Managing Safely qualification (or willingness to achieve).
- Practical, solutions-focused approach with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Effective communicator with the ability to engage across departments.
