The Opportunity
Are you a multi-skilled engineer with a passion for maintaining and improving site services in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment? Walkers Deli & Sausage Co. is looking for a proactive Site Services Engineer to join our team and help ensure our plant and facilities run smoothly and efficiently.
- Perform planned and reactive maintenance on plant equipment and building infrastructure.
- Conduct preventative servicing on systems including steam plants, refrigeration, compressed air, and water distribution.
- Carry out electrical installations, repairs, and improvements across the site.
- Ensure compliance with legislative inspections and testing, including legionella and audit standards (BRC, PIU).
- Supervise contractors and support emergency callouts, maintaining high standards of health, safety, and hygiene.
The Ideal Candidate

- NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds Level 3 qualification in electrical or multi-skilled engineering.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities across electrical and mechanical systems.
- Solid understanding of health and safety compliance, including PUWER and COSHH.
- Experience with steam plant equipment, refrigeration systems, and general building maintenance.
- Flexible, self-motivated team player with excellent communication skills and a proactive approach.
