The Opportunity
We are seeking an Assistant Group Accountant to join our Group Finance team on a 6 month fixed term basis to cover maternity leave. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a large, forward-thinking organisation with a full agenda for change.
Reporting to the Head of Group Financial Reporting and Control, you’ll play a key role in both financial reporting and strategic analysis. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing quarterly financial consolidation and management information packs.
- Assisting with year-end consolidation and statutory accounts.
- Supporting the development of insightful metrics to drive business performance.
- Preparing weekly cash flow forecasts and supporting Group Treasury.
- Monthly reporting to the Group Executive Board and Holdings Board.
- Collaborating with Business Finance Managers to drive improvements across the group.
The Ideal Candidate

- Be ACA or ACCA qualified.
- Have experience with FRS102 and statutory accounts preparation.
- Be confident in preparing and reviewing cash flow forecasts and financial accounts.
- Demonstrate strong Excel skills (IRIS or TM1 knowledge is a plus).
- Be comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders across the Group.
