The Opportunity
Are you a detail-oriented planner with a passion for efficiency and collaboration? Join Walker & Sons, part of the Samworth Brothers family, as a Production Planner and help us deliver great food with purpose. As a Production Planner, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our bakery operations run smoothly and efficiently. You’ll be responsible for creating achievable production plans that support our customer OTIF (On Time In Full) targets, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives, and managing key supply chain KPIs.
- Develop and manage production schedules to maximise efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Liaise with internal teams (Operations, Commercial, NPD, Technical) and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate order fulfilment.
- Monitor and report on supply chain KPIs to support business goals.
- Support continuous improvement (CI) initiatives across the bakery and supply chain.
- Communicate effectively across departments and adapt to changing priorities.
