The Opportunity
In this role you will report into the site Hygiene Manager and will have responsibility for leading a shift and keeping our high standards of health and safety and food safety. You will line manage 6 Team Leaders/Operatives and will carry out all of their people processes from performance management and development to communications and keeping them updated. You will also attend daily meetings and will need to build positive working relationships across departments as we are a very collaborative business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Action Food Safety and compliance non-conformances raised, ensuring investigations, corrective actions and preventive actions are thorough and effective.
- Conduct reviews of risk assessments and document safe systems of work for all Hygiene tasks, coordinated by the Hygiene Systems Coordinator.
- Evaluate shift performance against pre-determined Hygiene plans throughout the shift and drive clear and collaborative recovery actions where variances between planned and actual performance arise.

- Previous experience of managing people within a food manufacturing environment
- A collaborative, cross departmental approach to working
- Experience of working within a Hygiene department
- Experience of carrying out and actioning risk assessments and excellent knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
- A relevant health and safety qualification would be an advantage
