The Opportunity
We are looking for a proactive and skilled Site Services Engineer to join our Engineering team. This is a critical role responsible for ensuring the reliability, compliance and performance of essential site services equipment, supporting manufacturing operations and maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality and operational excellence. Working closely with Operations, Engineering and Technical teams, you will play a key role in maintaining site infrastructure including refrigeration, compressed air, steam, electrical, water and effluent systems.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and repairs on site services equipment to maximise reliability and plant availability.
- Respond quickly and effectively to breakdowns, using a first-time-fix approach and robust fault-finding techniques.
- Support compliance activities, including plant inspections, Legionella control, safe systems of work and contractor management.
- Deliver continuous improvement initiatives, root cause analysis and reliability projects to enhance operational performance.
- Collaborate with operational stakeholders to ensure site services systems remain safe, compliant and fit for purpose.
The Ideal Candidate

- NVQ Level 3, HND or equivalent qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- IOSH qualified with knowledge of 18th Edition Electrical Regulations (BS7671).
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Knowledge of refrigeration systems, Legionella awareness, boiler systems and ammonia awareness.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with experience of Root Cause Analysis and continuous improvement methodologies.
