About The Role

Have you wanted to be part of a business where Health and Safety is a top priority? As Head of Health & Safety, you’ll set the direction for how we keep people safe across the Samworth Brothers Group. You’ll shape strategy, standards and behaviours, ensuring health and safety is embedded into everyday decision‑making and ways of working.

TCB is undergoing a significant transformation across our campus, which includes two manufacturing sites and a distribution centre. This is an exciting opportunity to join a senior leadership team and play a pivotal role in shaping both the cultural and physical safety journey of our business. We are looking for an experienced and engaging leader who can drive change, influence at all levels, and embed a strong, sustainable Health & Safety culture through people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategic development and delivery of Health, Safety & Security across a complex, multi-site campus, ensuring standards are embedded and continuously improved
  • Drive cultural and behavioural change as part of a broader transformation programme, ensuring safety is owned and lived at all levels
  • Partner with the senior leadership team to ensure full compliance with statutory obligations and best practice, providing expert guidance and influence
  • Oversee risk management, audits, incident investigations, and corrective actions, ensuring lessons learned are effectively embedded
  • Engage, coach and develop stakeholders across the business to deliver the H&S plan through people, creating a proactive safety culture
About You

We believe success comes from collaboration and diverse perspectives. At Samworth Brothers, we value team players who are driven to achieve great results together. You’ll bring the following skills and experience:

  • An experienced H&S leader (NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent) with a strong background in manufacturing or food manufacturing environments
  • Proven track record of managing change—both cultural and operational—within complex or transforming organisations
  • A credible and engaging communicator who actively listens, builds trust, and can influence at senior levels
  • Experience operating as part of a leadership team, with the ability to balance strategic thinking and hands-on delivery
  • Strong capability in project management, problem-solving and driving performance through data and insight
