The Opportunity
As the champion of packaging, you’ll set high standards and engage teams to deliver packaging solutions that support business plans and brand identity. You’ll own the development, optimisation and performance of all packaging formats across Soreen. Your responsibilities will include:
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development, optimisation and evaluation of all packaging materials and formats, ensuring quality, consistency, and compliance with legislation.
- Support Operations and NPD through packaging trials, issue resolution, and ensuring packaging is fit for purpose and efficient for production.
- Manage and deliver packaging for NPD/EPD projects from concept to launch, including innovation and sustainability initiatives.
- Oversee supplier performance, print quality, colour standards, artwork accuracy, and provide final sign‑off for packaging.
- Maintain up-to-date packaging data and compliance, coordinating submissions such as EPR, Valpak and packaging waste reporting.
- Manage the packaging budget, delivering cost savings, business cases, and ongoing packaging improvement plans.

- Strong technical knowledge of packaging materials such as OPP films, flexibles, carton-board and corrugated.
- Strong understanding of print processes (gravure, flexo, litho).
- Proven project management experience.
- Excellent communication, collaboration and influencing skills at all levels.
- Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail.
- Budget management capability and a “can-do”, hands-on approach.
