The Opportunity
Are you a driven and motivated engineer looking to make a real impact in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment? Join our Engineering team at The Cornwall Bakery as a Site Services Engineer and play a vital role in maintaining and improving essential site systems that keep our operations running smoothly. Reporting to the Site Services Team Leader, you’ll be responsible for the maintenance and reliability of key systems including:
- Refrigeration
- Air handling
- Compressed air
- Steam
- Electrical systems
- Effluent and water systems
- Legionella control
You’ll support manufacturing excellence through preventative maintenance, rapid response to breakdowns, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role is critical to ensuring food safety, health & safety compliance, and operational continuity.
The Ideal Candidate

- NVQ3 / HND or equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering
- IOSH certification
- Fault-finding skills (electrical & mechanical)
- Awareness of Legionella, Boiler, and Ammonia systems
- Understanding of refrigeration systems and strong grasp of Root Cause Analysis
