The Opportunity
In this role you’ll work alongside the Development, Process, and Raw Materials teams—as well as suppliers and central technical functions—to manage and risk assess raw materials and final products ahead of product approval. Your work will play a key part in ensuring product safety, legality, and compliance with customer standards, including vegan, gluten-free, and listeria-related guidelines.
Key Responsibilities :
- Own and manage the internal Final Product Risk Assessment and Packaging Risk Assessment processes.
- Conduct risk assessments on new products and raw materials—ensuring alignment with customer codes of practice and internal policies.
- Reassess products when post-handover changes occur, such as shelf-life extensions.
- Support the Raw Materials Manager with specification updates and risk assessments in Foods Connected.
- Assist with weekly technical updates and cross-team support within the department.

- A food-related degree (or equivalent experience).
- Knowledge of HACCP (Essential) and BRC standards (Essential).
- Previous experience in a technical role within food manufacturing.
- A good understanding of chilled food is desirable.
- Strong IT literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
