The Opportunity
 
The Cornwall Bakery, part of the Savoury Pastry division, is a key player in the food industry, known for our commitment to quality, innovation, and sustainability. We are now seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead major investment projects that will enhance our operational capabilities and drive our future success.  As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading, driving, and managing complex business transformation projects across The Cornwall Bakery. Your focus will be on increasing capacity, improving efficiency, and enhancing systems to support our long-term growth. You will work closely with key internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.


  • Lead and deliver major investment projects in collaboration with the Program Lead and Transformation Lead.
  • Identify and allocate project resources, assign responsibilities, and monitor progress against key success criteria.
  • Facilitate project scoping, planning workshops, and cost-benefit analysis.
  • Coordinate and monitor project team activities to ensure timely and effective completion.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and legislative requirements, including planning, building regulations, and CDM regulations.
  • Communicate project status and issues to stakeholders and leadership teams.
  • Support and enforce high-quality project processes and procedures throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Self-directed and able to dynamically prioritise a number of projects despite business pressures, giving clarity of purpose to the team.
  • Excellent communication skills ability to work within a matrix reporting environment.
