The Opportunity
We have a great opportunity for a Materials Planning Manager to join our team here at Walkers Deli & Sausage based in Leicester. You will manage the material flow through the manufacturing process through a team of material planners, ensuring OTIF for all plans. To manage all material activity relating to launch and delist and manage stock control teams to ensure accuracy.
- Drive people engagement across the Planning function to keep people safe, engaged and focused to deliver against the site’s strategy.
- Pro-actively manage and prioritise the daily workload of the Planners, communicating actions to relevant stakeholders to achieve KPIs in line with expectations.
- Provide an efficient and cost effective plan to all areas of the business relating to materials and packaging.
- Manage relationships with suppliers and work in a timely manner with technical teams on any non conformances raised. Reviewing Supplier performance with the team and developing a relationship with the supply base to mitigate shortages to our customers.
- Work closely with Intake and Despatch teams to maximise utilisation on site whilst monitoring stock levels and customer service (internal and external)
- Develop, manage and report a set of KPI’s against which the department can be monitored and improvements measured.

- Experience of managing multiple suppliers
- Experience of Power BI is desirable and Excel knowledge would also be beneficial
