The Opportunity
In this role you will be a key member of the Finance team partnering closely with the operational functions of the business to provide “real time” support and analysis, as well as adding value to assist with decision making.
- To own the weekly profit and loss pack for issue to the business being able to confidently discuss with FM and to assist in month end reconciliations.
- Supervise production of the material usage variance reports done by Assistant Management Accountants, interrogating data produced and ensuring accuracy of information issued to the business.
- Own the product costing process from concept to launch and provide advice to business functions on potential decision-making ensuring information is complete and accurate, ensuring gross margin moves forward with best use of Recipe Professor.
- Work continuously to drive forward the management accounting support function within the business.
- Producing management information for Operational departments to provide appropriate data for strategic decision making.
- Cover and support for weekly tasks performed by Assistant Management Accountants as needed.
- Production of material cost budget and forecasting as part of the quarterly forecasting cycle.

- AAT/Relevant Degree & Part Qualified
- Experience within a manufacturing/food business
- Experience in an accounts function- preferably management accounts
- Experience of variance reporting, costing, trend analysis, operational support is required
- Intermediate MS Excel knowledge – V/H Look Ups, Pivot Tables
- Excellent numeracy skills and ability to interpret data and spot errors
