The Opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated Planning Manager to join our team at Walkers Sausage & Deli Co in Leicester. This role is pivotal in ensuring that our production schedules align with customer demand, inventory levels, and supply chain constraints while maintaining optimal efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Production Scheduling: Develop and maintain schedules based on demand forecasts and production capacity.
Inventory Management: Monitor finished goods inventory to avoid shortages or overstocking.
Capacity Planning: Analyse current capacity and predict future needs, recommending adjustments as needed.
Process Improvement: Identify areas to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Cross-Department Collaboration: Work with procurement, sales, logistics, and engineering to align goals.
