The Opportunity
In this role you will be providing timely and accurate financial information that will improve financial and operational control and support business decision making. You will produce daily, weekly and monthly financial information in line with management requirements and group financial deadlines. You will also report key financial schedules including P & L, working capital and capital expenditure forecasts and budgets. Additionally you will account for site overhead costs and drive profit improvement through control and reduction of overhead costs in line with key financial targets.
Key Responsibilities :
- Proactively work with site cost centre managers to improve adherence to the Purchase to Pay cycle.
- Minimise aged debt and clear blocked and parked invoices
- Take ownership of all financial accounting tasks and duties, including but not limited to: invoice queries, shared service centre liaison, and cheque requests
- To challenge and remove non value adding activities within the finance function and make improvements to routine processes.
- Support the site by carrying out ad hoc investigations and participating in projects designed to improve business performance.

- CIMA/ACCA/ACA passed finalist, qualified or qualified by experience
- Strong financial accounting experience & advanced Microsoft Excel experience are essential
- Food manufacturing and SAP experience are desirable but not essential
- An ambitious, proactive, can do mindset with a good work ethic, desire to do more and organise and prioritise well
